Things to Consider About Credit Card Loans

Credit cards are the lifesavers for people who have no available cash at times, but their exchange comes at a stiff price in the form of interests, especially if they are not settled immediately. While the status symbol will truly be different once a person is found to have a credit card in tow, it also brings problems, especially if people are not able to properly monitor their spending spree.

One feature that credit cards offer are loans which they freely approve to keep finances rolling both for their part and their customers. The catch here is the part where they charge you interest for the loans, something that will accumulate and balloon to outrageous amounts once a person falters in his payment deadlines. This is what most credit card companies, delays in payments, because this is where they can get back the service they offer. In most cases, people would end up paying the credit card companies with their salaries rather than taking them home for personal spending of bare necessities. People end up declaring themselves bankrupt just to be able to avoid legal proceedings for their inability of settling their accounts, especially one their payables reach an enormous amount.

In all, credit cards can ruin a person as fast as it makes them. While credit card companies are not totally to blame, discipline and self awareness as to what extent they can be able to spend on credit should be practiced. The best way is to know their limits and not spend more than their earning. Doing so is exactly what credit card companies want people to do. Unfortunately doing so will return a ruined reputation as far as credit loan is concerned, and drown a person in debt, making him liable to settle his financial obligations and causing a problem in his financial system to satisfy the basic needs he has to live by.

Price Adjustments and Increases: A Company’s Prerogative

Companies would usually invest little in the early stages of product or service development, taking in all the expenses and the needed costs to be able to build on brand awareness for their items. However, such is only done under a specified period of time, usually a year, after which the proper declaration of product pricing components such as utilities expenses, salaries and wages and other operating expenses incurred will need to be properly identified according to the company’s operations for a period.

Consumer acceptance and reaction will surely start in a negative way. For a product to implement price increases is something no one really wants, but is needed. For one, no company would want to incur losses for the duration of their existence and would want to realize profits at some point. This view is something that most consumers would not care about and would need a specified period of adjustment to accept that all commodities today need to implement such increases to survive and stay in the market.

If a company would have its way, stable prices would be the best way to go. But with the economies of scale changing as each day progresses, all business entities and organizational structures need to adapt to such changes as well. For the common business entrepreneurs and executives, these occurrences are only normal to be expected. It’s just too bad that in most cases, people would not understand the whole business process, especially for people who cater and master different fields of profession.

How to Treat Employees as People

It is a common practice among companies to hire people either through a head hunter agency (for the executive level), via newspaper ad or through the use of the internet.

It is quite amazing though that, although there are interested parties aiming for a better position or higher pay, there are qualified individuals who rather stay with their present employers.

Perhaps, the main reason is that their employers take interest in them as individuals.

Any employee can be expected to perform better for an executive or employer they respect and like than for someone whom they respect but work with fear or they do not like working with, this is quite true even when the latter executive raises their salaries and wages.

Having sincere interest in people is dealing with them courteously, thoughtfully and with consideration. Here are the basic rules on human relations to serve as guide for business owners or executives in dealing with employees:

  • Upon arrival at the workplace, say a pleasant good morning/good afternoon with a smile.
  • Remember employees’ first and last names. Calling employees by their proper names makes them feel that they are recognized.

The president and founder of a distinguished commercial bank is admired and highly respected by all the employees, from the janitor up to the executive level, for his being a good natured leader. It is his daily routine to greet and call the employees by their first name as he walks along the corridor on the way to his office. His good example was contributory to favorable working value and business culture of the bank.

  • It is best to learn something about people being regularly associated with like their personal interests, hobbies or family background. This information can be of help when there is an opportunity for an informal discussion which is a favorable avenue for building strong good will with employees.
  • Give compliment once in a while whether it’s about the employee’s appearance (neatness, nice outfit, etc) or for an accomplished task. A good compliment can inspire a subordinate to perform well.
  • Avoid being hostile and fault-finder. Many executives have the tendency to undermine people because of their mistakes or weaknesses instead of giving notice to their strengths and accomplishments.

Any subordinate will be happier and motivated to perform their jobs well when treated properly as human beings.

How To Attain Proper Minimum Wage for Employees

Costs are escalating and incomes deteriorating. Comparing it to the law of demand and supply, the obvious need here is to escalate the sources of income. And as workers, this normally points to the salaries and wages we receive. Ultimately, the people who need to make the adjustments and take into consideration the whole mess are the people who hire and do business.

Sounds like an easy solution doesn’t it? While most companies acknowledge the need for better compensation packages, there are constraints. Among them include the economy as well. If profits are not coming in, how can they provide for their people? In the end, it may be a choice between lay-offs and sacrificing wage adjustments at least for the meantime.

The next thing you would ask is up to when this would be? That is one question no one can answer. The economic conditions are getting worse by the day and as much as responsible companies want to make the necessary adjustments, it just doesn’t seem possible at this point.

However, for the businesses which are doing good but are saving their charitable act for just compensation, compromises should be open. They should not be the only ones living it through these hard times. For their workers, a little addition to their daily cost of living goes a long way. It may not be the most lucrative of pay adjustments, but the point here is that they have can really profit from any form of additional centavo while they are at it.

One trend that is being done by various groups is the adjustment of minimum wages. These amounts vary. And among the factors include that of the current economy and living conditions. Seriously, the financial needs of most people today are getting harder. With the cost of purchases and buying their basic necessities reaching crazy points of being able to secure them, not even simple sacrifices on certain commodities and goods are enough.

This is not to demand from companies to double their income or issue bonuses and special money packages. Consideration is what is important particularly now that finances are hard to manage. There are people who have succeeded but if we can get the numbers of people who have lived and adjusted through this crisis, you may be surprised that the figures are quite low in any region today.

Setting minimum wages to appropriate levels may not be suitable for most people. But given the conditions and factors of living these days, employees and workers just have to grab it and go. Having a prime source of income is better than having nothing at all. In short, these times are not just about personal survival, it is about the chain of survival that the entire world is facing and hoping for a miracle to come soon.

Low Shopper Turnouts for Christmas Rush

The low turnout of Christmas shoppers this year should not be surprising. With everyone having a hard time, spending for gifts seems to have been affected as well. There are shops such as flea markets that offer a more manageable price but compared to past years, they too are having low turnout of shoppers.

With that said, does that mean there are less gifts to give out this year? It certainly looks like it. For some people, perhaps handing out cash in smaller amounts would be the best way to share the season of giving while others would recycle or be creative as far as handing out gifts are concerned.

If there is a phrase that can best be applied to this year’s holiday season, it is that of “It is the Thought that Counts!” We often preach this, especially during times when we don’t have money and finances. While we want others to understand our situation, this Christmas, it is for the entire world to feel.

As far as shopping is concerned, there are some who will come out eventually. Some don’t have the money to shed as they don’t have their salaries or 13th month pay yet. On that aspect, the intent to buy gifts will be divided as people want to make sure that they have cash in the pockets once 2009 comes around, the Year of the Ox!
