Manpower is an overlooked aspect in business. To most management teams, raw materials and resources are the most important aspects to make a business develop and grow. The people behind the machines, decision-making and promotional practices are not given much attention, becoming a hindrance to maximizing the full potential of any business enterprise today, regardless of the field they are planning to penetrate.
Psychological support in the form of identifying shortcomings, abilities and possible needs for attention with regards to public relations and negotiating prowess by most leaders need to be studied. The key to successful business partnerships and deals is to identify key areas that need to be ironed out. It is not merely a point of closing a deal for the benefit of one party but for both. A win-win situation should always be considered to ensure a health business relationship to last for longer years. A business will develop into one big empire only through such proper efforts. Results from such efforts can only be realized after some minor time of being able to allow initial investments in the form of market saturation, business identity and overall product or service evaluation.
This holds true as well for hired people in a company. Any career is not an overnight success. Feeling their way and developing individual strategies to gain the market attention is the first step towards testing their proper job placement. While some may follow careers that are not in line with their degree, training and seminars for certain fields can help a lot in molding and fitting them into the system where they find themselves in. There have been a lot of people who have been successful and this all depends on how they love and carry out their duties to the max.
No business is immune to potential threats. This includes physical, mental and now technological. At some point, there should be a contingency plan to resolve such situations but apparently not all companies are prepared for it. Assuming there are teams that have been formed and documented as well, nothing beats actually experiencing the real thing. And believe me, the scenario is totally different when the conflict is at hand compared to simulated ones which often do not show the gravity of such a situation.
Why is crisis management critic then for business continuity? Similar to a well-oiled machine, one loophole can direly change the fortunes of a company. Technology has indeed made life easier with all the automation and advanced equipment. However we should not forget the roots that build businesses. Foundations are still essential and chances are people will grope for form to make use of old practices to keep operations at efficient levels.
The folks over at Continuity Compliance highlighted something alarming that should open the eyes of most business management teams today. They highlighted an episode from NCIS where the team had to make use of old hand tools to solve a murder investigation. Advanced devices and gadgets were practically useless and while it may seem funny to some, turning to the old hand gadgets like Polaroid cameras and other supposed medieval ways to perform their duties should be a wakeup call. It may be just a movie but it is reality. Technology can make thing easier and also harder, especially if it conks out on you.
Preparation is a key factor in business continuity. Obviously we cannot sit back and relax if we are to be competent in today’s challenging world. Productivity and resourcefulness are two queer terms but needs that should wake up organization into reality. Technology and computerization can indeed optimize business but they are not completely immune. Be ready at all times since with just one click or stroke of the keyboard, business can disappear faster than the wink of an eye.
Here is that NCIS video. You may want to share it with your crisis management teams as a wakeup call.
When you think about it, the number of people in dire need of cash to be able to withstand the mounting pressure of expenses these days has totally gotten out of hand. While many would want to avoid the issue of borrowing money from financial institutions such as banks and credit card companies to avoid the outrageous interest rates, it seems they don’t have much of choice. But wait there is more.
To many people in need of financial assistance, the matter of making sure you get approved loans or credit applications also has its share of having to cope up with the fact that they have to undergo the proper process. By this we mean they are still not out of the woods. Before they can expect money from these groups, initial verification and processing must be done. From that alone, you will have to wait and see if you will be granted a credit loan or not. Sad to say, not all people are gifted with the much wanted approved stamp.
Lending institutions are aching to get some income from interest that they put on premium amounts sent out to borrowers. But while they would want to oblige, they are also looking out for their interest. This means that while many people are applying for loans, not all will be approved since the capacity to pay is being considered. Remember that in most cases, they are looking to the future of settling the borrowed amount. Hence, this is one of the reasons why many require a lot of proof of billing or proof of financial capacity to pay.
These may all sound demoralizing but businesses are businesses. It is not that easy to pull the rug from under them. They have to make sure that they are likewise putting their money on people or groups that can pay them back. The last thing that these people would want to do is to declare bad debts, something management teams do not want to hear.
So if you get denied when you apply for a credit loan, you know that they have made the proper inspections relating to the documents and information you have given them. These are hard times but your history will surely be dug up to see if you can settle the debt to some capacity or not. That is how hard life is these days but the best you can do is keep on trying until you get some organization to back you up. Either that or you just have to change some parts of your lifestyle. That is the only way to survive your financial situation for the time being.
