Every manager is responsible to gather all the necessary information and knowledge about the ability and capability of people working under his/her supervision, by doing so, the manager will able to identify promotable subordinates.  Having promotable subordinates is an advantage and favorable because excellent result in the performance for the group is assured.

The following are some guidelines to ensure that candidate/s for promotion will be an asset and be of help in the making of an outstanding performance for the team.

  • Make sure that the subordinate who is being considered for promotion clearly understand the responsibilities associated with the job;
  • To assure that the candidate acquire the necessary training and adequate exposure to the supposed new assignment;
  • Ensure that the candidate has the willingness and eagerness to be trained for the new assignment;
  • The candidate for promotion possess good communication skills which is also important  as having  leadership potential;
  • The subordinate is dependable in terms of attendance, punctuality and compliance to company policies, procedures and guidelines;
  • The candidate is actively participating in the creativity and suggestion system implemented by the group and the company.  Also, the candidate respond positively and cooperatively to any change made;
  • The candidate’s performance must be assessed periodically based on the productivity and expectations.  Identified strengths has to be enhanced while any weaknesses need to be improved.
  • The candidate must possess positive attitude and have high regard and care towards people and welfare of the business.

The key for measuring advertising through commercials is creativity and the impact it can have on the target market. Apparently these two things were present as Bridgestone commercials “Scream” and “Lucky Dog” made the final list of possible winners at the Cannes Lion International Advertising Festival.
