Effectiveness of Multi-level Marketing As a Marketing Strategy

Marketing strategy is a part of business plan in every organization. This is one of the most important in running a business. In our time, many are using MLM or Multi-level Marketing as their strategy.

MLM also called as network marketing is a way of marketing in which the product and company is promoted directly to the consumers. The purpose is to create sales force that will perform as a distributor and generate income not only by producing sales but also by referring the product/company to the other people. Members of a MLM are earning income by commission based of their total independent sales plus the agreed percentage from the sales commission of their downline (recruit members).

Here are the reasons why many companies are using MLM or Multi-level Marketing as their marketing strategy.

1. Low-cost ways to promote company

2. Less workers or regular employee, meaning there is no need to hire salespersons and pay regular salary and other privileges of a regular employee.

3. No need to pay for big television advertisement

4. Salesperson has the high possibility to generate sales because they are earning by commission, they are more eager to gain sales than the regular employee

5. Easy to recruit members, many persons are interested to join for the following reasons:

a. The members success will be based on individual’s effort

b. Personal freedom

c. They have enough time to spend with their family

d. An opportunity to earn unlimited income

MLM companies are escalating, even in the web; they call each member as an affiliate partner. The process is the same; the only difference is as an affiliate partner to an online company, the task is to market the product online, either by sending emails or by putting the ads banner of the merchant to your own website.

Obama Stimulus Plan Promises 4 Million New Jobs

Obama Stimulus PlanPeople are cheering President-elect Barack Obama for his stimulus plan estimated to be $800 billion dollars. For one, 4 million new jobs will be assured to save the U.S. from a year long recession. My question is will recession be only for a year? If next year the recession continues, does that mean he has to shell out another stimulus plan?

New jobs is fine but management is another. One thing that Obama may want to tighten up should be the common business practices. For example, lending should be done with extreme caution. Require a business plan no matter how many they are. Ask for sales projections, expected income and so on. From here you can see if people who want to get into business know how to use money to its max.

For sure the stimulus plan is a welcome package to most people in the U.S. and the world. But just like the previous financial bailouts to banks and the auto bailout to the big three, make sure that it will produce the necessary economic assistance to save a faltering nation due to bad times in the economy.

“The jobs we create will be in businesses large and small across a wide range of industries,” Obama said. “And they’ll be the kind of jobs that don’t just put people to work in the short term, but position our economy to lead the world in the long-term.”

Healthy Business Requires Healthy Employees

For a business or company to operate efficiently, work is not solely limited towards machinery and business practices. It remains that the manpower resources are equally important and making sure that they are healthy will equally provide the expected output as far as corporate performance is concerned.

Today, most companies overlook the reasons on why some employees report in sick and are unable to go to work. Some may have apprehensions since laziness may be a possibility. However, if a good health and safety program is put in place such as annual physical examinations (APE), employees have less reason to make alibis and excuses as far as reporting to work is concerned.

Healthy business requires a healthy employee. Other than being a wholesome practice, it is a benefit that employees are sure to appreciate as far as their compensation package is concerned.
