		<description>This problem doesn't seem likely to go away any time soon. It's been a problem for many years here in the UK. It seems with the rising energy demands the days of cheap fuel in North America are over, and it is simply catching up with the UK and Europe. Still a fair way to go though. I believe fuel is still roughly 50% cheaper in the US than the UK at the moment.

Careful driving, using a car when needed and trying to car share are good ways to save on fuel. I read a few interesting ideas on saving fuel over here: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=674625.</description>
