Crude Oil Price Increase Again!

People are complaining and the economy is still down and yet we see another round of oil price hikes, it seems like this never ending story will keep on headlining the news daily. Apparently another price increase for crude oil has been declared but you don’t see people lining up and filling up their tanks anymore. Why? Because it is useless.

You can get a full tank but apparently you will still have to refill after some time. So you save what, a couple of dollars? It’s not really worthy it. The fact is you have to adjust to these hard times and do some alternative measures such as perhaps driving wisely or saving on unnecessary spending.

Add as well the growing recession that the US is claiming, you get a bomb getting ready to explode. With that in mind, you may as well stay at home. But then again, you have to watch the energy consumption since your electric bill will balloon as well. What a life we have right now!

This problem doesn’t seem likely to go away any time soon. It’s been a problem for many years here in the UK. It seems with the rising energy demands the days of cheap fuel in North America are over, and it is simply catching up with the UK and Europe. Still a fair way to go though. I believe fuel is still roughly 50% cheaper in the US than the UK at the moment.

Careful driving, using a car when needed and trying to car share are good ways to save on fuel. I read a few interesting ideas on saving fuel over here: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=674625.
