Building Self-Confidence
How many can still remember the story of Thomas Alba Edison? He attempted more than 10,000 experiments to create the incandescent lamp and for 10,000 times he failed. His contemporaries tried to convince him to quit because it cannot be done. Instead, he said, “I have found 10,000 ways it cannot be done now I will find one way it can be done”. That’s “CONFIDENCE”.
Confidence is a dynamic character that can often spell the difference between accomplishments and failure. Anybody in any business needs self-confidence.
First and foremost, to build self-confidence is to work on the attitude. According to Karl Menninger, “Attitude is more important than facts.” The only way to apply Positive Mental Attitude with consistent success is to achieve the Right Mental Attitude towards particular things that are most important. These are: By believing that the company’s products are of good value for money. Feel that the products will benefit the buyer more than whatever he sacrificed in order to buy or get it. A positive mental attitude about the company must be developed. The thing to do is to look for the good points and find virtue in it. Be fully aware and convinced of both the economic and personal importance of the business. It is also necessary to have the right mental attitude towards other people. It is not just the hard work and the physical results it achieves that leads to success . . . it is how you feel about yourself that count most.
Regard the future with “optimistic determination” and with such positive attitude, success is not far behind.
