Tips on Network Marketing

Networking is a natural human function. It’s being done all the time by everyone consciously or unconsciously in their daily walk in life – i.e. banker, lawyer, engineer, doctor, community organizations and others.

There are three major factors that can possibly help develop the skill in networking by an individual. These are: VISIBILITY which means to see and be seen by others; FAMILIARITY, meaning, to know and be known by people around and GOOD IMAGE that will inspire and give good impression to people.

With the aforementioned factors, networking can generate opportunities when used in the following manner:

  • At work think, talk and act according to position or rank. Portray those characteristics consistently so that people can readily recognize or identify ones place in the industry, society or community.
  • Speak and be interested in people. Everyone is important hence, positive response can be expected.
  • Participate in activities happening at workplace or community. People will recognize a consistent participant in various activities particularly humanitarian functions.
  • Invest in helping others because there will come a time when help will be needed too.
  • Never underestimate the power of simple courtesy and small talk. People do not forget courteous people who greets and talk to them even for a short time.
  • Be approachable. An aura of friendliness projects an approachable person. It can provide more information about people and greater opportunities for new ventures.

In networking, as in life, “you harvest what you planted”.
